The van Gelder family has been in the oil business since 1933. All the experience and knowledge gained in the family business is passed on from generation to generation. The love for the profession and for innovation has been there from the start. Piet van Gelder sells the first litre of oil in Deest under the name Olie-import GEDO. After the war, he starts the businesses again in Beek as Van Gelder Olie-import. This lays the foundation for a solid company with a loyal clientele. And it’s how Gelders’ success story begins. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Following Piet van Gelder’s retirement, his sons continue the business under the name Van Gelder Aardolieproducten NV. They build a fuel depot in Nijmegen to receive ships, and expand with the purchase of filling stations and a gas depot in Tiel. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Importing and selling clean fuels puts Van Gelder well ahead of the market in 1990. As the only supplier in the Netherlands, they already offer sulphur-free diesel and low benzene petrol. Large companies such as McDonald’s and bus companies managed to reduce the harmful emissions of their vehicles thanks to Van Gelder. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Following the sale of the Van Gelder companies, the new generation starts its own business: GVG Oliehandel BV. They focus particularly on niche markets. With their technical knowledge and strong relationships in the oil industry, they specialise in lubricating products (Agealube) and alkylate petrol (Aspen). <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

In Nijmegen, GVG builds a large, fireproof PGS depot. The accompanying, improved logistical efficiency allows multiple types of products to be shipped to customers quickly and easily. With an increasing number of more new private labels and its first patent, GVG continues to grow. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
